I am 31 years old and after smoking for 17 years, I quit 4 months ago. Since then, I have had a sore throat, horseness, and it is very hard to breathe. I never had a problem with any of this before quitting. When does this end and is it normal?

I quit smoking after 17yrs. I developed a case of brochitis 4 months ago and decided to quit. I was treated with antibiotics and recovered. Just in the past month, I developed an on and off cough with clear mucus that occurs at night.
Is it allergies? anybody else have this situation?
