I quit smoking last april and have gained about ten pounds since then. I wasnt heavy to begin with but I dont want my weight to creep up on me. I used to be able to lose 10 pounds easy now it seems harder. Any ideas why?

I quit smoking four months ago, and have gained quite a bit of weight. I know I eat too much and I’m sure it’s because I am substituting smoking with food. Anyway, I worked out and dieted hardcore for over a month and nothing happened. Normally I lose weight relatively quickly if I am working my butt off at the gym and watching my diet. Is this lack of weight loss due to my quitting smoking? I smoked for 9 years.

I quit smoking at the end of September. Here lately, I have had a terrible smokers cough for about the past 3 weeks. I have heard from several people that you will cough for quite a while to clear your lungs of all of the tar (I was a pack a day smoker for 8 years). Does anyone know approximatley how long this is supposed to last? It is driving me insane!

I have quit smoking for good. But, I have smoked on and off for about 2 years. I’d say my longest period of smoking was about 9 months. About a thimble size amount of pot being smoked once a day. Of course also the rare time of more than that. No cigarettes, just marijuana .

I quit smoking 3 months ago, and I still get really bad cravings. It takes everything I have not to start up again. I am also worried because I have heard people say that they quit for a year and then started up again. How do I prevent this form happening to me.

I am 31 years old and after smoking for 17 years, I quit 4 months ago. Since then, I have had a sore throat, horseness, and it is very hard to breathe. I never had a problem with any of this before quitting. When does this end and is it normal?

I just quit smoking (actually haven’t smoked in just over a week now) and I want to help my lungs repair quicker. I am in the stages of coughing up tons of mucus and it sucks, but I know its just a sign of healing. What can I do to speed up or aid this process?

How long after you quit smoking will it show up in blood or urine test? I quit smoking for almost 2 yrs and then smoked cigarettes for a couple weeks and now quit again.
